Pastor Calvin Lindstrom is currently the pastor of the Church of Christian Liberty in Arlington Heights, IL. He holds an undergraduate studies in engineering, Calvin traveled to South Africa for a six-week mission trip. It was during this time, he sensed God’s calling to education and ministry rather than engineering. Although he continued his engineering studies for two more years, before fully committing to responding to his calling.
Boye-Nelson Kiamu is the Chief Executive Officer of Liberia Renewal Ministries (LRM-Liberia) and is currently a doctoral student at Fuller Seminary. He was born in Liberia but had to move as a refugee to Nigeria during Liberia’s civil crisis. While a refugee in Nigeria, Nelson was led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Nelson is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with every people and seeing transformation of lives occurring in Liberia and the Mano River Union and the world.

Albert B. Cheapo is a Liberian native and currently a doctoral student at Liberty University. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He currently serves as Controller at NOVEC Energy Solutions, Inc, a natural gas supplier in Virginia, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky area. Albert is also a husband, father, and devoted Christian who loves using his gifts and talents to bring Glory to God.
John White is currently employed by PBF Energy’s Western Region LLC as a business development analyst working out of their Long Beach office. Educated as a chemical engineer from Virginia Tech, he had previously worked out of PBF Energy’s Torrance Refinery for 9 years (starting in the environmental department, then process engineering, to economics and planning, and currently reporting to the Western Region President out of the commercial office in Long Beach). John loves Jesus, his wife, then his children, then family&friends, and soccer. John continues to lead the Shore Up Soccer ministry (through Lake Avenue Church) to this day and enjoys every moment. He also enjoys snow skiing, motorsport, eating cookies, hiking, and jumping into Lake Tahoe.
Les Stocker is President Emeritus of Braille Institute of America. He had a 35-year career with the organization, serving as CEO for the last 20 years there. He has since worked as a non-profit management consultant, and interim executive director for two different non-profits.
Les has been active in various roles at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena over the last 31 years, including working from 2018 to 2022 as Interim Executive Director of Church Operations. His volunteerism extends beyond the Church to various organizations including as a business school guest lecturer in Vietnam with Resource Exchange International. He has also served on the Boards of Bethany International and the Pasadena Community Foundation.
This California native holds a BA degree in Theology, an MA degree in Communications and from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, at Claremont Graduate University, an MBA.
Les and wife Pamela have lived for more than 50 years in Altadena, California where they raised their three daughters. They now have three grandchildren as
well.
Susan Von Tress is a Human Resources professional with background experience in missions, sales, and marketing. Her first 20+ year career after college was as a missionary with Cru in the US and Eastern Europe. At Lake Ave Church she has been a volunteer leader with foster kids, Preschool Sunday school classes, and the Emotionally Healthy Discipleship WorKshops
Lisa Caragher is a member of the Lake Avenue Genesis Class and a member in good standing of Lake Avenue Church.
She became a born-again believer after having been raised Catholic, on April 12, 1992, at a Maundy Thursday service at Lake Ave delivered by Pastor J John, Evangelist. She has attended Lake Ave since that time and has been involved in Children's Ministries as a member of the board and with service in the nursery on Saturday evenings and on Sundays. Lisa currently serves in Genesis on the leadership team by updating all "Prayer and Praise" requests and planning any activities for the group. Lisa observes, "I believe my spiritual gifts include being an encourager."
Lisa's educational background consists of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Sports Administration from Cal State Long Beach, and a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH), with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Education from Loma Linda University. She taught Physical Education at Polytechnic School in Pasadena from 1989-2021 and is recently going through a "rewiring" as she figures out her next post-retirement adventure.
She is a wife to Rick and mother to two young women, Shae (24) and Keara (21).
